Pilzfest is a dynamic strategy game in which players compete for space and resources in order to build their own fungal kingdom. It is designed for one to four players and lasts between 50 and 90 minutes. Players collect points by fruiting mushrooms, spreading their spores, expanding their mycelial networks and growing more mushrooms efficiently.
Each turn, you can perform two actions from a choice of six. You can gain advantages by performing decay actions, stealing spores or blocking your opponents' fungi. You can develop your own playstyle: for example, you can play aggressively to steal spores from others and disrupt their mycelial network, or play more defensively to protect your own territory and spores.
The game board is made up of triangular tiles that represent the different environments and nutrients needed for mushrooms to grow. These tiles can be placed on the board, which constantly grows and evolves as a result.
Featuring 69 beautifully illustrated fungal species found in nature.
