Interface between market and research
You understand our services and can clearly communicate their economic benefits. Not as a scientist, but as someone who translates complex research into concrete applications. You build relationships with customers, tap into new segments and ensure that our services are used where they are needed. You will work closely with the management and the scientific team and play an active role in developing the commercial strategy.
Fungi are the oldest architects of our ecosystems. We make them visible.
More organisms live in a handful of soil than there are people on earth. Fungi, bacteria and other microorganisms form the basis for stable ecosystems by fixing carbon, circulating nutrients and enabling plant growth. We use DNA metabarcoding to analyse the microbial composition of soil samples: which organisms are present, in what relative quantities and how these change over time. The result is a standardised, reliable data basis that makes ecological developments visible and enables well-founded decisions to be made in practice and regulation.
From viticulture and construction projects to protected areas, new requirements and funding opportunities are emerging in the area of soil biodiversity. At the same time, there is often a lack of comparable data. This is exactly where we come in.
